A national archive of NYSC stories
Has a
Story.
Discover the experiences of Ex-Corps Members who served communities across Nigeria. Learn what they did, how they did it, the challenges they encountered and the lessons they learned—and be inspired to make your own service year count.
The story archive
From first postings to unexpected challenges and life-changing community projects, explore the experiences that shaped a generation of service.
Every story in the archive is told in the contributor’s own words: where they were posted, what they built, and what they would tell the next batch.
Every posting letter sends someone somewhere new. Follow corps members to the towns, villages and LGAs where they served, and see what service looked like there.
Lasting Impact.
Corps members teach, heal, plant, build and mentor. Pick a cause and read how others took it on.
Shared Purpose.
Organisations helping us preserve and share the stories of NYSC service across Nigeria.
Every pin is a posting letter, a community and a year of service. Explore where corps members served, then read the stories they left behind.
Beyond the Stories
Explore books, guides and other resources created to preserve the NYSC experience, share knowledge and help corps members make the most of their journey.
